We decided to use the Peruvian capital as a stop over on our way north. As we had only an evening and a morning in this massive city we saw very little. However, we did manage to fit in the main tourist attraction, ceviche (yes it's edible). We had read that Lima was (unsurprisingly) the centre of the Peruvian food revolution, and that when you came here you ate, so that's what we did! We arrived in our miraflores hostel in the late afternoon and went to look for some recommended places to eat ceviche, Lima's signature dish. For those of you who have never come accross it ceviche is a fish dish, most like a seafood salad which is served 'cooked' in the acidity of a lime. It is delicious and Lima did not disappoint. We had a delicious meal, and a lovely evening!
