Lima
Lima City centreThis section of our trip was to take some R/R at a nice hotel overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I can´t say we were particularly impressed with Lima as we did not see much of it, but the route from the airport left a lot to be desired.
However our hotel was in Miraflores, a posh sort of beachside resort, except the beach was 150 metres below!! We relaxed and wandered along the front watching hang gliders and para sailing types throwing themselves off the cliff. They swooped over the resort in formation landing on a small part of the park with great precision. As they were landing they were stacked up just like a real airport waiting for their slot to land.
We certainly like Miraflores, but not as a destination on a tour.
