The dome in San Pablo
If you look closely you can see the stained glass heart at the center.

(He doesn´t like them.) The twice-moved statue of Francisco Pizarro, once in the plaza of power, now outside the city wall.

Redefining the word "fancy."

Jack in a cage
At the Museum of the Inquisition. From the 1600-1800´s many "sinners" were imprisoned and tortured. We didn´t take a lot of pictures here because it was creepy. Interesting note: they waterboarded the women they were tortuing.

The house of Congress
Not on the Plaza with all of the power, but very fancy. Surrounded by reinforced fences to hold off protestors.

Ancient Incan city wall in a new park
The current mayor has done a lot of restoration and public works projects like this park.

Monestario de San Francisco
This Jesuit monastary was incredible, and it and its plaza were covered in an incredible number of pigeons. Look closely, they are the dots covering every facet of the building.

We weren´t allowed to take pictures inside, but we got some sweet postcards showing the tombs and catacombs.

All this cost us about $2 each.

1 million schoolchildren
Their English and our Spanish were at about the same level, so we had a good time talking.

Great shopping and nightlife.

Some Peruvian treats. On the right is Cerviche Mixto, which is a lime-cured fish topped with other seafood.

Hello from home
Looks absolutely amazing!! Sounds like after your initial "Welcome" all is going good. How was the Ceviche Devin? Seafood and potatoes who needs anything else:-)
