Tuesday 5th Feb - Day 14
Machu Picchu day! Up at 4.30am to get to Machu Picchu before the crowds. Had a 2 hour tour of the ruins and then scambled up HuaynaPicchu to get fantastic view of the site. After this time was running out so I had to run to the Inca bridge (the incans destroyed the bridge to protect Machu Pichhu) and the sun gate.
When the spaniards conquered the incans in about 1537 they didn´t find Machu Picchu, it lay undiscovered until 1911.
I´ve seen so many photos of this site but it was still amazing to go there.
