Hi,

Well we are back from Machu Picchu in one piece after an amazing week. Its hard to know where to start to describe this trek so ill try with the photos..

I know a picture is supposed to say a thousand words but im not sure if these do the trek justice. Those of you who have done it know what a great experience it is, and those who haven´t should definitely take the opportunity if it ever arises.

The trek must be done with an official tour operator. We used SAS and would highly recommend them- excellent guides, food and such obliging porters. Yeah I chickened out at the last minute Martin and hired a porter to carry my stuff!

Our group was great fun too- 6 Kiwis, 1 Aussie, a Tasmanian couple, 2 US girls and another Irish woman who seemed younger than all of us at 63 years of age!

Great fun overall.

Till the next time............
