In order to get to Machu Picchu I chose 76km long Salkantay trek - an alternative trek to the classic Inka trail.
The agency which I booked the trek with wasn't one of the best ones but thanks to the bunch of people I was trekking with I had a fantastic time throughout those 5 days.
Our group was pretty diverse which made the whole experience even more interesting (1 American, Swedish couple, 1 Swiss, 2 French, 2 Aussies, 2 Argentinians, 1 Peruvian, 3 Germans plus Henry and Miguel - our guides and Carlos - cooking devine food).
Carlos was supposed to have an assistant however he ran away before we got to eat our first meal. Some kitchen stuff had got lost on the way and apparently he was afraid of being blamed...
Enjoy the photos!
