Arequipa

Arequipa is much more what we were expecting Peru to be: a lovely central square with impressive Spanish architecture, friendly locals and nice cafes all set against a wonderful backdrop of snow-capped volanoes. It´s also the main tourist town for the magnificent Colca Canyon which, at twice as deep as the Grand Canyon, is the second deepest canyon in the world and where we´ll be spending the next two days partaking in a bit of a trek.
