Coulpe days in Arequipa

Arrived in Arequipa and saw some road blocks begin. Some of the locals have put burning tires and rocks in the middle of the road, protesting the rising gas prices. I got a few photos that should have made the front page news!

We managed to get taxi driver who was willing to take us into the city and avoid the blockades, without getting stoned to death!

Tonight, I will try to leave on a bus.....BUT, the whole city is blockaded...could be interesting.

Crazy Lady
The lady in the background began throwing rocks at passing cars when they went through the roadblock!! She then yelled something to me about my taking photos....I decided it was time to leave after that!
