My tedy vyrazili po lehke snidani take. Stan jsme provizorne rozlozili - privazali a zalezli. Pokracovani priste a fotky dodame

It was about 6 am and we heard some strange sounds outside our tent - maybe an animal? No, it was just some crazy Ecuadoriens competing who will be first at laguna /as we found out later/. After light breakfast we set off too. We decided to carry on to laguna when we marched on for so long, we just couldnt turn and go back. After an hour another crazy maniac overrun us and told us it should be another 2 or 3 hours and we should be there - how simple.... And really we saw lagunas in the end, but the actual descent was the worst part of all - holes, mud and bushes. Finally we reached them, but we didnt care to much. I did take a plounge, water was very very cold - straight from the glacier, had something to eat and turned back. By this time we gave up on our map and locals confirm its "quality". We filled our bottles with the water from laguna, used our drops to clean it, so we didnt care about having enough water. We set off about one and planned to go as far as possible and then stop and stay over night. We said to ourselves we have to push hard and I have to appreciate Katarinas effort who with rucksack and 4 hours already in our legs, didnt complaint and did dig deep. Gradually our plan was changing - we will try to reach refugio, even if it means going last bit in the dark. At 6 pm we had last 2 km to go and sunset was there. We put our headlamps on, used our repellent and descended into the cloud forest. In the dark everything looked different and the last kms seemed neverending. We heard noices, sounds and also saw glittering eyes of some animals and the end was nowhere. Finally, around 7.30 ish we reached refugio that was empty and locked, so we decided to sleep on the wooden floor before the main entrance. And eyes were still following us, fortunatelly you had to climb the stairs to reach our spot, so we felt king of safe. In the end that day we did hike from 8am to 7.30pm, altoghether 24 km and we have to say that because of hard terrain and high altitude we had enough. We put up our tent just somehow and got into our sleeping bags. Suprisingly being tired didnt help and we couldnt sleep. To be continued.... and photos tommorow
