In the morning at 6 am we were woken up by some tourists, but we were quite glad because we could star packing and heading to our hostal in Loja. We made cup of tea, packed our stuff and set off - yes again 8 km this time down hill slog, but there was no other way. After 1/2 hour fortunatelly a big truck stopped and asked if we needed a lift, so we got on sitting in the cargo space at the back, but it was better than walking. It was very windy and because the road was aweful a lot jumpy too. At first we expected to be dropped at the entrance but this nice gentleman took us all the way to Loja 2 minutes from our hostal. It saved us energy, time and in the end money too because he didnt ask for anything- very unusual here. First thing was a hot shower and then something to eat. In the evening we went to the center and found out that there was some religious fiesta going on - lots of old, young and babies an of course our favourite drink Colada Morada.
