Cookout and Cock-of-the-rock Theater

We did presentations of data for each other today, trying to draw some conclusions from what we had.


Afterwards we were treated to a cookout by the Ecuadorian staff. The women purchased the food and did most of the work but the men did the cooking outside on a grill they made out of scrap. It was delicious.

In lieu of data presentation Eric, Laura and Jennifer decided to act out a typical scene at the cock-of-the-rock lek. We did this inside the casita, at night, and the result was even funnier than I dared hope, the pictures don't do it justice. Eric in particular was very good at imitating ACOR vocalizations.
