There is just one word to describe the Galápagos Islands which is either AwesomeHasToBeSeenToBeBelievedKindOfPlace or simply wow. Sea lion, blue-footed boobie, frigatebird

And around the corner was the marine Iguana

They are happy to stick around as long as you entertain them

Tortoise breeding station

The research is still ongoing and the animals in the research station are measured and weighted from time to time.

White tipped reef shark

Could be seen in many places. They are normally about 1.5 meters long and just want to play

Albatross

These birds can have a wingspan of over 2.4 meters and are one of the most efficient flying machines around. They just have problems starting and landing that massive body. They basically plunge of a cliff when the wind is right

More marine Iguanas

On this island they were fatter and had a different colour due to the abundance of food around them

A bunch of boobies spotted a fish swarm and went for it. See also the video

The second biggest crater in the world

With over 9km diameter this crater is the second biggest in the world. The last small eruption was just 5 months ago.

Galapagos sea lion

Nearly everything that’s endemic to the Islands gets the name Galapagos in front of the normal name.
