We went to a beach that had about 50 or more of these rays just sitting in the shallows.

Some of the many fish we snorkeled with, and that hung around our boat looking for scraps. I also wonder if they weren't hiding under it from protection from seals as well!

These are white tipped reef sharks which we were able to swim with, amazing. Not the kind of fish most people think about eating, more likely they think about being eaten!

Penny caught a seal at sea hunting something our guide reckoned it was throwing a fish around. Apparently they can sometimes get the spine out which makes for easier eating. Pen thought maybe it was an iguana...who knows.

This little fella had a close escape. He's sporting a shark bite, but seemed no worse for ware with the exception of being harrased by flies. Good luck buddy!

Each beach has a dominant male who has a harem of females he must protect from other males. Sometimes young males will hide out and mix in with the females hoping to mate one before they get rumbled and are chased off the beach.

The animals pretty much ignore you unless you get in their personal space, which when you live in a colony....is amazingly close. They didn't even bat an eye in this photo!

These guys will sleep anywhere and more than once we didn't see one or thought it was a log before we were warned off by a harsh bark which sent our pulses racing.

This male was challenging the dominant male on the beach by swimming past his territory, no not Scott he was ignored by all the sea lions, the fellow on the left.
