4 Days in the Jungle
Arriving in Colombia in itself was a big highlight for me, as I had earmarked here and New Zealand to be my top two destinations - Colombia because of the negative press and limited number of travellers and NZ because I have heard so many great things from so many great people about it. Time will tell I guess. Expectations of Colombia are high, I just hope I don’t view it...

I was there too...
Hello, my english is not so good... I was there on october 2012. we werw alone, my husband, my daugther Maya and I with our guide Francisco. During the night in the hammock .... A JAGUAR passed 1 meter near us!!! We didn't see it, because light was off, but we could ear it so strong passing by, and the next morning, we could see the patches of the jaguar feet on the bottom... it was the first time Francisco met a jaguar during an excursion with tourists!!! He was so afraid that he kept the machete by him inside the hammock during all the night!!! I have to say that spanish is my mother language, however i live in Switzerland in the french part, and i think I wouldn't have enjoy my travel in Colombia so much if I couldn't speak spanish so good... I was happy to be a "different tourist" in Colombia, not like "yankees", Germans and else. I could speak with Colombians people like a native everywhere I have been in Colombia, so we went to some places where no tourists go, for example in the country Boyacá, north of Bogotá. I am 55 years old, and I spent my first years of life in Colombia, from 1959 until 1963... No tourists there in that period! ;-)
