Once we crossed into Chile, the bus descended, down and down, losing elevation quickly until we reached 2500m. This is the lowest I'd been at in about two and a half weeks. Calama to Santiago
Fantastic that you entered the Atacama through the high altitude backdoor from Bolivia. But when you flew from Calama to Santiago did you look out the left side of the plane and were lucky enough to see the scores of volcanoes all in a line?

Sadly the sun had already set, so not much in terms of views. Did see some incredible visuals of the Andes when I flew out of Santiago towards Paraguay later on in my journey.
