Rosco and Gerardo in Vina del Mar

Well here we are finnally in Vina del Mar, I had a good flight from Auckland, New Zealand to Santiago, Chile, while Gerardo was racing up from Punta Arenas, in the chase truck to meet me at the airport, I only had time for one cup of Chillian coffe and he was there !.
It was great to be together again and to pool our resorces. we are currently settled into the Ankara Hotel.

Soon after arriving I recieved a phone call and it was Roger (from Roger and Curtis fame 2005 adventure here)and Miss Linda from the USA and can you believe it, they were also staying overnite here and being Miss Linda's birthday, of course it was drinks all round.

Gerardo has already been half away to Tongoy this morning, just to warm the oil up !!!
Today is consolidation day as tomorrow we need to make some progress on releasing the motos from the container.
Rocky was really happy to get out of the suitcase, and is just happy to be with us...

Comienza la aventura
Finalmente nos encontramos con Rosco y ahora estamos en Vina esperando que el martes lleguen los demas aventureros para con suerte partir el dia jueves 6 hacia Tongoy, yo soy el unico que actualmente tiene su moto, pero las otras ya estan en el puerto de Valparaiso para ser ingresadas al pais y comenzar la aventura

it was reassuring to see the picture of Roger and Linda and find out about their trip through South America. It leaves hope for me that there are other loonies out there and that I'm not the only one. See you in 48 hours. Tom

Hey Tom, there is not a cloud in the sky over here and we would like to keep it that way. There is a lot of smoke in the air though, as there is a big fire in them thar hills. Fly safe, cheers, Rosco

Amongst many tears (mainly bugsy's) remaining team members safely departed on time from Auckland. All supporters wish them a safe and enjoyable time. Suggest all team members watch out for TL's blue tack dependancy. Love Petal

We are ALL safe and well in Andagala, Argentina. Thanks for your good wishes as String has managed his majic and we rode in rain all day !!!, infact the Provence of Salta, where we go tomorrow, is under extream flood conditions and we may have to chang our route, as we did today. Cheers, Rosco
