So we are in Chile now! Amazing! So we are in Chile now! Amazing! So we are in Chile now! Amazing!

...first arriving at the Hostel - a YHA again ;)
So we left Auckland on the April 1st in the evening and arrived in Santiago on April 1st noon - that's cool! 😉

We had a really good start in Santiago! We liked the flair from the very first minute. People are really friendly, open minded and patient with my (still) poor but well improving spanish skills.

We met a lot of people here. Had great fun with some people from our hostel.

Additional info on Plaza de armas: the stand-up comedians are there more or less every day. Selling some of their CDs and performing an ad-hoc comedy show for hours. The like to take tourists into the circle (just like me 😉, asking them where they are from and so on and make a few jokes. It's just funny!

When we arrived some nice guy at the airport told us that KISS was playing. Due to the coincidence that we were in Santiago at the same time we just decided to check out the show. It was really funny. The old freaking guys really know how to rock'n'roll! I didn't take photos from this gig, as i left my camera in the locker of the hostel for security reasons. We finally spend the rest of the night in the Club Cadilac, where some really good bands were performing excellent live funk music until the doors were closed at 6am in the morning 😉

So as far as I can tell Santiago has a great nightlife!

So went to bed at 6am and got up again on 10am. On Saturday we were heading off to a day trip to Valparaiso - a very nice city at the coast. Only a 2hrs bus ride from Santiago. Valparaiso's nice and colorful old houses are located at the hills in the bay creating a really nice flair.

Sunday we are heading of to Pucon which is said to be a pendant to Quennstown/NZ - we'll have a look 😉

Best wishes
