Driving from Mendoza to Chile was beautiful. You have the snow caped andes surounding you. We arrive and santiago which would be absolute amazing, if you could see the mountains through the smog. After checking in to the coolest hostel we have been in thus far, it was a mansion converted into a hostel, we awaited lindas friend to show us around. Well by the time we met up it was late so we got the driving tour through town and then went to some small bars to chat.

The next day we started our adventures by going to st lucia. St lucia park, aka lovers lane was very nice. You can also climb up the hill to see a fantastic view of the city, well i guess it would be fantastic if there was not a nice layer of smog blocking your view. After we climbed the hill we decided to go to the artisan craft market. We returned to nap before embarking on another adventure with agusto, lindas friend. Well unfortunetly he had to work late so starving we ended up eating the most amazing sushi in the resturant next door...writing this makes me want sushi real bad now.

Day 3 we went to the Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino which displays 4500 years of pre-Columbian history and art. It was definetly very intesting to see. Th pottery was amazing but the statues and figures were for the most part really creepy looking. After the museum we went to San Cristobal Hill. The hill shows even better view that st lucia of the city. In order to reach the hill you must take this tram up the hill. Where you have a huge statue of Mary as well as alot of nice area to overlook the city. Well i know i have said this a million times but seriously this city would be so beautiful if there wasnt so much damn smog.

Trying to kill time before we met up with agusto we decided hey lets go see a movie. So we decided to go to this cheap theatre that shows old movies. Im pretty sure it used to be an adult movie theatre. So we go in and the theatre seriously reminds me of a high school audtorium...With the uncomfortable plastic seats with grafatii to the stage, to the old school screen, the crackling noises throughout the movie, it was definetly unlike any theatre we had gone to before. After the theatre we went to this cute place where you can eat or get your haircut. It was a nice way to end out last night in santiago.
