If you have been reading our blogs for the last 2 and a half months, you would have probably noticed that we have been having a great time. But unfortunately, if we kept going we probably would not have jobs to go back to (thanks Maribyrnong!) and would eventually run out of money. Hence, we are going home tomorrow - all good things must come to an end.

Now that we have about 35 hours left of our trip, we thought a summary and overview of the trip would be an appropriate way to celebrate the end of a wonderful adventure:

Number of days: 77
Number of days with 'stomach issues' (both Georgie and Bryce): 20
Number of injections in Georgie's bum to stop her from vomitting: 1 (thank god)
Number of hostels/hotels: 30
Number of buses: 15 (including 5 night buses)
Number of hours Georgie was awake on buses: 5
Number of planes: 13
Number of planes delayed: 6
Number of times Bryce shaved: 1 (in Arequipa)
Number of time Bryce was mistaken for a homeless person: 7
Number of hours we lasted on the 24 hour challenge in Cusco after completing the inca trail: 22
Number of sunglasses lost or broken: 2
Number of times we thought that we might die in a taxi: 17
Number of times hit by water bombs: 14 (just Georgie)
Number of times we heard Shakira on the radio: 14,563
Number of hours Bryce spent looking up AFL news on the internet: 15 (even though it is not even footy season - sad)
Number of antibotics bought illegally over the counter in Bolivia: 5
Number of g-strings spotted on Copacabana beach: 34,238
Number of steaks consumed by Bryce: a whole cow and a half
Number of bottles of wine consumed: too many to count (and still going!!)
Number of times that Bryce was allowed to type on the blog: 1 (so it could possibly be called Georgie's Blog with cameos appearances from Bryce

Possessions we could not live without: ipods and lonely planet (and perhaps passports if you want to get technical)

Highlight: Galapagos Islands, Georgie's birthday and carnival

Lowlight: 12 hours in the airport in Cochabamba where political riots had been staged less than a month before. Also the bus from Tumbes was an absolute shocker!
