Di, Charlie & Jess at Easter dinner, Bariloche, Argentina Did lots of nothing on Sunday, as I'm still feeling crook & have begn antibiotics. Only ventured out during the day to get some lunch for Duncan & myself at the local shops.
Dinner however wa a different story, as there was a pre-arranged group dinner to attend, so I self medicated, rugged up & went out for fun with fondue... Andy, Charlie & I had taken a bunch of bunny ears from a local chocolate store yesterday, so the whole group donned them to get into the Easter spirit. Diane, Tony, Charlie & I were seated together & shared a carnivore fondue, consisting of four different types of meat. Not much veg in sight, however the meat was delicious & a meal in itself. Fortunately, we had left just enough room for dessert & again, the four of us shared a chocolate fruit fondue & some chocolate volcano type creation, which was just lovely.
The combination of antibiotics, psudoephidrine, beer, wine & chocolate had put me in a much better mood than earlier. So much so, we all went back to the Hostel, continued drinking & watched a U2 concert on the big screen entertainment system they had.

Carly, Nic & Penny at Easter dinner, Bariloche, Argentina Have no idea what time we all went to bed, but it was a great night because most of the group stayed up partying the whole time, instead of a select few, which has happened in the past.
Half the group was up & off bright & early on Monday morning to do white water rafting. Me, I opted to stay in bed for a sleep in, because I've done rafting on the Nile in beautiful weather & lets just say that Bariloche is not exactly the warmest town I've ever been to.
Wandered into town for lunch with Miss Penny & Rob, changed some money & did a spot of shopping before walking down to the waterfront in search of a chocolate waffle. Unfortunately, the restaurant in question was closed, so we had a second rate dessert at another restaurant back in town.
Brought some nibblies for dinner, before heading back to the Hostel for a pensioners nap. Still not feeling one hundred percent, so figured the sleep could only do me good. Woke up quite late, watched the end half of Pirates of the Carribean before having a snacky dinner with Penny & Rob,

Di, Charlie & Jess at Easter dinner, Bariloche, Argentina then returned to bed for some more beauty sleep.
Up early on Tuesday morning for we had an eleven hour truck ride ahead. Arrived into Pucon with drizzling weather late in the afternoon. Ran into the Kumuka guys en route to booking our Volcano tour tomorrow, which was canned due to bad weather. I stayed in town to do some shoping, then ended up getting lost trying to find our campsite. Hooked up with little Sam and after wandering around for a while, managed to get directions that actually got us there.
Ate dinner at the campsite before Charlie and I headed out for drinks at Mamas & Tapas. Started off the night with beer and tequila shots ad finished up quite early in the morning with only vague recollections of the night before.
Walked home from the Kumuka hostel around 6:30am Wednesday morning, as they were leaving town. Arrived back at the campsite and mistook another truck for ours, so almost ended up in the wrong tent. As the volcano walk had been cancelled to to shite weather, Charlie and I slept in until two in the afternoon, then wandered into town for a

Group Easter dinner, Bariloche, Argentina Chopp (draught beer) and pizza lunch.
Spent the remainder of the afternoon shopping, then went back to camp for a stew dinner. We had contemplated getting the bus early to Santiago, but it got too late, so we had an early night instead.
Was woken early on Thursday, by a large portion of the group who had decided because it wasn't raining, the volcano walk would still be on. Unfortunately, they were wrong and had gotten out of bed at six in the morning for nothing. They wandered back all sad faced close to eight, while Charlie and I were chuckling away in our nice warm sleeping bags.
Had lunch in town at the same pizza place as yesterday with Miss Penny, Charlie, Duncan, Rob & Andie, accompanied by a few bevvies. Found a bar up the road that was screening the soccer (for the boys) & spend the remainder of the afternoon there drinking beer, writing my journal & watching a bit of the game.
Charlie & I had decided to catch the overnight bus to Santiago, rather than go on the truck. We figured that way, we would get at least an extra

Duncan at Easter dinner, Bariloche, Argentina day of sightseeing in & she would get to spend more time with Kris. We returned to the campsite to pack & have dinner, before walking up to the bus station around nine to begin our journey.
Arrived into Santiago around seven on Friday morning & caught a taxi straight to the hostel to dump our gear & have a shower. Charlie was gutted to discover that Kris' truck had left Santiago a day early & he was litteraly driving out as we were driving into town.
Got some breakfast for Charlie a few blocks from the hostel before catching the subway out to a very large shopping centre, with loads of fancy shops. Ate Sushi for lunch before catching a movie in the afternoon. We saw The Holiday, which was a bit of a chick flick, but nice, light entertainment to pass a couple of hours.
Headed back to the hostel, but only made it as far as the bar next door for a few beers. The truck arrived around eight with the rest of the group, so we got our gear off & headed out for dinner. We went to some cow restaurant with

Nikki, Amelia, Shannon & Robin at Easter dinner, Bariloche, Argenti great steaks, I drank far too much beer & wine, but it was a fun night.
Chilled out watching television all Saturday morning. Skipped breakfast, but went out & had Subway for lunch, then returned to the hostel. Continued on with my cruisy day by napping the afternoon away in preparation for our final group dinner celebrations in the evening. Unfortunately the Chinese restaurant we ate at wasn't very authentic, however we still had a great time & Di had arranged a birthday cake for Jess. Returned to the bar next door to our hostel for more drinks to celebrate Jess' birthday, however I piked pretty early because I was still buggered from last night.
