Volcanoes
View from the plane on our way to Puerto Montt, Chile Please refer to the last blog (Santiago) as we have added pictures to it, finally!
We left Santiago on the 18th and took a short flight to Puerto Montt (South of Santiago), then a short bus trip to a small village on Lake Llanquihue. Our hotel over looked the lake with a view of two snow capped volcanoes. The following morning we were picked up by bus to start our Andean Lake Crossing tour to get to our next destination in Argentina. We crossed through the Andes from the Pacific Coast to the interior of Argentina. It took three bus rides and three boat crossings. It was a long trip but the views of the mountains, glaciers lakes and volcanoes were well worth it. The land is all protected by provincial park with very little inhabitants from back in the 1920s. We arrived in Bariloche, Argentina at around 9pm after a long 13hour trip.
