Brasil, ten points!! the people are fantastic. Really funny and good fun, and totally helpfull too. I found it hard to understand their colourful Portugese but scraped through with my Spanish and the various international hand signals that have never let me down. and aside from the wonderfull people, the country is beautiful, food is great(very important) and there is a great atmosphere most place... I caught the bus up to Belo to visit Paula and he family, and they picked me up from the airpot and took me passed her brothers school and this what we saw. apparently most fridays, the final year students dont do any work, but instead, get dressed up and get drunk outside the school gates! today was cross dressing day, and dookanan probably isn't reading this so I'm going to throw this out there and suggest that he'd probably fit in quite well here :) Baaarrgh!!!

they live in a little suburb called Nova Lima just outside Belo, and it's really nice cos it's quite and they've got a lot of room, and a very sweet house!

one of Paulas' friends(Flavia, in red on the left) threw a massive birthday party in the most famous venue in the whole city and I got to go along. free drinks and live samba band all night - not baaaaaad!!

Paulas cousin took us to a really cool market the next day. lots of yummy food and wierd things to buy, if only I had had some money!! thats Pedro on the right, Paulas little brother, and future Brasilian football hero :)
