Stop 1
Brasillia So, It's been over a month since my last blog update, so I guess it might just be time for me to write again.
I've returned, just two weeks ago from one of the most amazing months one could possibly hope to have. I saw some sights that can not be described. And pictures just don't do them justice. It was a month to remember for sure.. Really, What can possibly beat a group of 50 exchange students stuffed into a bus for a month, with side stops at a few beaches, a bunch of city tours.. and a few other attractions too. It was a month of making new friends, seeing new places, and making new memories, it was a month I wish I never had to forget a moment of. Our month included Northeastern Brasil. Only. With a few stops that arn't considered typical in this type of trip I expect (Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro) But really, I don't mind. After this month, I have a few more things to take home to Canada with me, a few more pictures, And defiantly a few more houses open for me in the world. That's one of the lovely things

Lencois about exchange. You can go so many places in the world, and have a place to stay with friends.
Having been over a month since I've last write, and being early January, it means that I've also passed by two major holidays here in Brasil. 1)
Christmas and 2)
New Years. I will go through them, starting with Christmas.
This year my Christmas really wasn't Christmas at all. I just couldn't feel the spirt at all, the lack of snow didn't really help me much either though. My Christmas was spent just like any other Brasilian party I've been to so far really. Lots of people (
family in this case) Dancing, music, and drinking. There was nothing really special about it either... only one Christmas song. And decorations? Generally hardly noticeable. Coming from my life in Canada, to this, Christmas was nearly non-existent. Especially when I went out for lanches on Christmas night with my friends.
New Years on the other hand, was great! And I didn't even go to the second party I could have attended! We went to a family friends farm to pass into the new year, and strangely, it too was DSCF1472
Just some walking around just like any other party I have been to here in Brasil, just this one seemed to go over better, with more enthusiasm maybe? At this party, when mid-night passed, almost EVERYONE was up and dancing, mostly to retro music, the 70's the 80's, the classics, and some others that I had never heard before (the the horror of one Brazilian friend) and there were masks handed out, noise makers, hats, confetti thrown. Food to be eaten, cakes to be cut. Over all It was one amazing New Years. Probably one of my best in my short time on earth.
Oh have I mentioned that with all this food, after four month I had already gained 10 kilos?
No, I will NOT put that into pounds for you.
