World cup - Belguim vs Russia

Finally the day of the game, Belguim vs Russia. We decided to get the metro to the stadium. The train was ablsolutely jam packed but we climbed aboard anyway. We had 6 more stations to go and ther were throngs of people at every station. At every station more and more people pushed on until i was feeling quite claustrophobic. The Russians were quite jovial and antagonistic. You could feel the pressure of the other passengers against you. I was beginning to have a small panic attack. Luckily we came to our station and the tension was relieved.

The atmosphere was electric and everyone was in a party mood. The Russians dominated the chanting. The game itself was not much of a spectacle but the Mexican wave kept everyone entertained. When the Belguim scored the stadium erupted with all the Belguim supporters and all the neutrals.
