Then I went to Rio, where I met Glaucia, the mother of my friend who took me to her House, which is in the mountains, 2 hours south of Rio. She call this place the 'fim o mundo´ because its quite hard to access it and the first village is almost 30 minutes away by car. Her house is right next to a river and is beautifully decorated ( Glaucia is an artist) . Half of what we were eating came from the garden and I wish I could have stayed there forever.

Art is everywhere in this place; half of the pieces you will see are made by Glaucia, the others are presents from friends of her.

Hungry Toads

Those huge toads were coming every nights very near the house. They were attracted by the insects, which were attracted by the lights of the house. They were arriving at dusk and were patiently waiting for us to turn the lights on. Then, the 'festin´ would start.
