Football at the Maracana Stadium!

Well i was actually supposed to leave today, but i decided to stay on for an extra night - couldnt miss the football! And also because all the people in the hostel just got on so well that i just had to - and I´m glad i did because the atmosphere at the stadium was just something else! everyone stood for the whole 90 mins singing, dancing, chanting, swearing to the opposition - brazilians are very energetic! By the time the match ended we were all shattered and decided to head back to Ipanema. Most of the folk went straight to bed, but dan, ollie and australian jimmy stayed up for a bit (check photo of what we discovered dan could do...). Said goodbyes and finally departed ways at 6 in the morning - only one and a half hours till the taxi was due to take me to the bus station : had i packed yet? - no. was it dark in the dorm with everyone asleep - yes. did manage to pack everything up and get to the bus station on time though.
