Landed...

Finally in Rio - after all those years dreaming...!!had no clue how to get to my hostel, but met some lovely argentinians who let me hitch their ride with them.
When i got to my hostel it didnt really sink in that i was in rio - i cant describe how overwhelming it all was for that first day....
Went to Ipanema beach with all the lovely people staying at the Lighthouse hostel - still couldnt believe i was there (despite the sandy beach, gorgeous sea, a backdrop of mountains and to top it off - the hot hot weather!)
oh and how random - the first two guys i meet in my dorm (ollie and dan) turned out to be a freinds of a friend (zoe!) - and live about 10 mins away from me back in london. such a small world...
