Sunday in brazil.
Church here is at nite so today we spent some time at the campus then we headed out to some of the outlying areas to distrubute some clothing that had been brought down.
We headed out on the bus down to some of the poor areas of town.
The group split up into 3 and we headed out. Each group had a translater which was nice. What an incredible eye opener... we were actually in the areas of town that many of the kids used to live. The conditions were as you can imagine deplorable. The homes were one room with no bathroom or bedrooms. The even harder to imagine thing is that this wasnt even close to the poorest part of the city.

We walked and walked, and for the first time ever, I was a little scared while here. Not everyone appreciated our prescence. Even so, we managed to hand out quite a bit of clothing to the families that we had been sent to see and had a chance to pray with them. The outreach the church is doing here is awesome.

Better jet, everyone is desperate to check emails tonite.
God bless
Laura & Alex
