I am moving to Curitiba, Brazil

I signed a contract last week to begin teaching at the International School in Curitiba, Brazil. It is great to find such a wonderful job opportunity but disappointing that the language in the region is Portuguese when I have been studying Spanish for the past several years. I need to find some language lessons fast.

Does anyone living in Curitiba care to shed some light on how important it will be for me to know the language when I get there?
