After Itacare I headed up the coast a little to Salvador, but we only stayed a couple of days there as the weather wasn’t great and it just didn’t really have a very nice feel to it so a couple of friends and I decided to move further up the coast where the weather is better so we embarked on a mammoth 22hr bus journey to Fortelaze and from there we had to get another 8hr bus, with the final hour and a half of the journey having to be done in a dune buggy and then finally we arrived at Jericaocaoa which is a really little town on the North East coast. Its absolutely beautiful here- the town is tucked between huge sand dunes lagoons and crystal blue sea.

We hired a dune buggy today and went exploring all the lagoons which has been great and yesterday I went sandboarding down one of the dunes which is far harder than it looks!!

Gosh Gem, looks like you're in paradise!! It took you long enough to get there too....22 + 8 hours on buses - phew, no thanks!! Soooo glad you have made friends with some people (always knew it wouldn't take you long!) Get some sun for us as well okay and have a ball. Spare a thought for those us you left behind....weather's been awful, work's been stressful, prices are up, savings are down and we're all looking forward to the winter and Christmas (not!)..... Take care Leslie
