One can say I am biased to write about Maceio, since it's my hometown (even though I've lived abroad for a very long time), but this city is a true gem if you enjoy a warm destination by an amazing ocean. True that culture is not necessarily "in your face", and if one is interested to go beyond the surface, he has to take the time explore it. Here, it's just a brief overview...

Taking away from the equation the problems related to poverty, it is truly a special place. I was told is related to its geography and the energy in the water of the 7 lagoons and the seawater (perhaps some hippie stuff but i like it). Praia do Frances is still my favorite place in this world. We are lucky to come from Maceio. x
