We made it to Bolivia! The Pantanal was so fun, Rachel and I went with a tour group for 4 days, and it was so great. Basically, it was like Summer Camp. We stayed in Cabins and there was a main lodge with probably 40 other tourists there. We were in a group of 7 with a guide who was like our counselor and would take us on different activities every day. We rode horses, tubed down the Rio Pirahna, went fishing for Piranhas, played volleyball, took a Jeep Safari, and also a boat tour. It was really kind of bizarre and hilarious at the same time. As for the Pantanal, it is a very unique place because half of the year it is a swamp because of the rainy season, and half the year it is a Savannah, covered in wildlife. We went during the rainy season, so we got to wade in the swamps, and saw TONS of differnt beautiful birds. The other gift the rainy season brings is Mosquitos. They were incredible. Repellent is mostly useless, there is no escaping them. Our guide Mario we call Jungle Man because that is exactly what he is. He walked the Pantanal bush and swamp without shoes, carried a machete always and made monkey and calls. He was so cool, a very unique individual. We also met alot of other really awesome travelers there and had a blast hanging out with them. We have been very blessed to meet some really great travelers along the way and hear their stories. Well friends, that is all from me for now, hope you are all well, love and miss you,
Becky
