train cementary in Uyuni where our tour began
Some photos from a 3day tour to the south-west part of Bolivia, i.e. Bolivian altiplano.
I cannot find words to describe how stunning and diverse all these places were......

there are some AMAZING photos from the Bolivian altiplano (i don´t think mine do justice)

(I have hundreds photos from the trip, will try to keep on adding.....)

I agreed with Kris (English guy i had met in Lima, then again in Cusco and La Paz - who is travelling round the world too) that together we would do a tour from Uyuni. Luckily Aoifa that I had met in Potosi decided to go with the same agency. So there we were, three days together venturing through the most amazing parts of Bolivia: three Irish, one Israeli, one English and me, plus our driver/guide and a cook.

The three-day tour brought us back to Uyuni but because there was nothing to see in the town itself (NOTHING) we decided to head further south, to Tupiza. Besides, it was freezing cold in Uyuni.
In Tupiza we did a whole day of horse-riding that i absolutely fell in love with!!! i did it once about
Salar de UyuniSalar de UyuniSalar de Uyuni

Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat at 10,582 km² . It is located in southwest Bolivia, near the crest of the Andes, 3,650 meters high
10 years ago when i was 10 ;-) but i was holding onto my cousin at that time and almost fell off the horse when gallopping. I briefly rode a horse in Arequipa, Peru, only for half an hour though.
Horse-riding in Tupiza was great also because of the scenery, it felt like being in the Wild Wild West (will try to add some pics later to prove)
I was amazed how easy it was to ride a horse. Gallop is the best, the poor horse started rebelling after some time.....

There was a festival of Bolivian dance (from different regions) held over two days in Tupiza and i´m glad that we went to see it.
It was beautiful.
