So yesterday was an amazing day!! We woke up at 6 am and met our biking tour guide at a local cafe. We took a 45 minute drive to our starting point which was at 4700 km elevation. I actually lost my balance in the first 30 seconds on the bike at toppled over. After that I was fine. The first few legs of the ride were pretty easy, fairly level road with easy going gravel. I opted out of a grueling 8 km uphill bike ride that the boys in our group did. Then got back on the bike at the start of the "World's Most Dangerous Road" The road was very narrow and had loose gravel with large rocks in the road ("murder muffins"). We also had to share the road with cars. It was actually a little scary because there was no barrier between the roadside and the cliff, most of which was pretty straight down. But I made it. We rode through little waterfalls and ended after 54 km at a animal refuge. There we got to see parrots, macaws, toucans, and MONKEYS!!! We sat by the pool and spider monkeys and other local Bolivian monkeys would crawl into our laps and play with our hair!!! Then we did a zip line that was 3 parts. We flew over the coca fields. It was so fun, fast, and a beautiful view!!! Wish you all were there
