Finally made it to La Paz

Well after a few days of delays due to weather in Denver we finally made it to La Paz. We flew into the airport early this mornining after a sleepless flight from Miami. When we got the we were hurried through immigration and customs and into a cab bound for our hotel. The view coming down to the city from El Alto was amazing. I have never seen anything like it before. When we got to the hotel they had our rooms ready and brought a nice cup of matte de coca. Today the plan is to get some shopping done and see some sites in La Paz. Tomorrow we are heading up to Lake Titikaka and the ruins of Tiahuanaco or Tiwanaku depending on who you ask.
