with her new sunglasses at Moon Valley. Today we went back to our market place and explored the markets a bit more, did some shopping as well, stuff was so cheap here. Towards lunch time we managed to score a sweet deal with a cabbie. He would take us to Valle de la Luna, wait for us and then bring us back to La Paz. Valle de la Luna is approx 10kms from the city center but can take 30 mins as the ride is mostly going up.Couldnt believe our luck. So we agreed to meet the taxi driver at a fixed location, we had to something to eat first. Found a lovely little restaurant with the best food that we had eated so far. Was like a buffet salads - and we had plenty of salads, soup, mains and then deserts. We were a bit late in arriving at our designated spot and Anshu was panicing the the taxi driver would not have waited. As soon as the bill was paid she ran out to the designated spot and found the taxi driver waiting happily. We were of to explore Valle de Luna or Moon Valley.
We arrived and were blown away by the landscape, it was

at Valle de la Luna so different to anything we had seen. Looked like a field of afrcian ant hills =) Valley of the Moon, Valle de la Luna, near La Paz, isn't a valley at all. It is a badlands of hills and rock eroded into fantastic shapes and deep gulleys. Spend most of the afternoon walking along the track and taking in the amazing landscape. Then we headed back by taxi to the spot in the market where we had met the taxi driver. The drive back was scenic. Said goodbye to the driver and walked back to the hostel. Was a busy and tiring day. Again had dinner at the hostel and a stiff drink=)
