Puno --> Copacabana --> Puno
After our day in Uros islands Asta and I the very next day have decided that we want to go to Bolivia instead of the Taquile island (well, one of the additional reasons to do so was the fact that we have got sooo sunburned the day before that there was no way we would have survived couple more days in the sun...).
Copacabana is a small town about 3 hours away from Puno. But it feels a little bit like a different world... The whole experience starts with the walk across the border (yes, you have got to physically walk across, because the bus leaves you in Peru & picks you up in Bolivia). Then, once you get to Copacabana itself, you find that the "town" has got whole 3 "central" streets and is a very relaxed, laid back place located between two mountains, with an access to the lake...
And that's what we really enjoyed,- getting up, having a lazy cup of coffee, going for a short walk, having a bit of lunch, trying to figure out when is the bank open (there isn't any ATM in the whole place, the only
way to get cash is to "catch" when the bank is open (very sporadic opening times) and get cash advance on Master Card or the Visa). Spending one day (or couple) on the Isla de Sol and isla de la Luna, grabbing a beer or two while watching a sunset over the lakeā¦
