Hands up if you like BA! Puerto Madero on the right (wealthy river side suburb), Rio del Plata (River of Silver) and BA Centro on the left. Lulu in the middle :)

Puerto Madero- definitely more wealthy than the rest of the city.

La Casa Rosada (the Pink Palace)- where Eva Peron gave her famous speach.

A city of its own, La Recoleta houses the resting places of the wealthy and famous families of Buenos Aires, including Eva Peron. The rows and rows of ornate musoleums create a maze, both macabre and beautiful.

The resting place of Eva Peron. Not the greatest of the musoleums to look at, but definitely the most popular.

After the cemetary, we happened across the Recoleta markets- stalls, acrobats and musicians, like this lot, throughout the park.

Avenida 9 de Julio and the Obelisk- subject of many an Argentinean postcard.

The Barrio -suburb- where we stayed was San Telmo, and on Sundays it came alive with Buenos Aires most famous and colourful markets. Note the tangoing couple in the foreground? Many street performers try their hand at the dance that makes this city buzz, but not all are actually any good. These two were a prime example.

Awesome street band, completely set up on the street, piano and all, belting out Tango and traditional tunes.

Lulu found a bovine friend.

Remember bad street tango? Thank goodness these two were decent, saving face for all street dancers everywhere.
