We arrived by 7am and got a local bus to our hostel, Hostel Inn. The scenery was that of Vietnam in the way it looked so tropical. I could tell i was going to love my short stay here. The town itself was small and simple so you can see why people say two nights at Iguazu is ample. I really enjoyed the 15 minute bus journey to the hostel though. I had forgotten how much i missed being in an area with such a tropical feeling. The bus stopped outside our hostel and straight away we could see the huge pool. The reason why we chose this hostel. I had a small problem with my check in as they couldnt find my reservation but it all worked out in the end like it normally does. Seeing as we had the whole day ahead of us we chose to do the Iguazu Falls straight away leaving the next day to relax around the pool. We jumped into a taxi and to say i was excited about the falls would have been a huge understatement. I spent many hours back home thinking about the place and here i was baby!
Karishma, Andy and I agreed we all wanted to pay 100 pesos for the two boat trips. One of which actually takes you under the falls. We jumped on the small train (which you can walk faster than!ha) to take us further into the park. From there you walk to the many different, mind boggling waterfalls. I cant even explain the day. There are no words to describe it. Sometimes when you look forward to something so much it turns out to be a disapointment. This was far from that. It blew my expectations out of the water. One of them places you should really go to before you die its that amazing. Running around in the park are these little animals. I have completey forgotten what they are called sorry. At one point Karishma thought it would be a good idea to feed them and in her excitement she threw the whole chrisp packet on the floor and within seconds their were tonnes of them fighting over the food. As you can imagine that didnt go down to well with the staff! After walking around for a very enjoyable hot and sweaty day we had the power boat ride
under the falls to look forward to and to cool us down. It was fantastic. Probably the best thing i have done so far on this trip. I had a lady next to me who didnt speak English who kept telling me to put my camera away. She eventually realised it was waterproof as i videod the whole the thing. After that we got the train to the Giant Falls. The daddy of all falls. Karisham and i had a bit of a water fight on the train which ended up me squirting my water in her face. I wish i had done that earlier as she didnt talk to me for about 10 minutes. Only joking hun!ha We had a 15 minute canopy walk over the river to get to the Giant Falls and when we got there the pure sound of it takes your breath away and thats even before you stand over the top of it looking down. The second boat trip was a very relaxing one which took us down the river back to the start. After a great day we got back to the hostel by 6pm where we spent the next few hours chilling
out by the pool before feasting on a buffet dinner. We were all exhausted after a long but an amazing day and our bums didnt move much from the relaxing sofas in the socail area of the hostel after that. It had been another great day to remember though.

I got woken up by my Brazilian friend Arthur shaking my foot at 7.30am who had just arrived from Buenos Aires. I said a quick hello then passed out again. I finally met up with him by the pool a few hours later after some much needed beauty sleep. Our good friend Karishma had to leave after lunch to go to Brasil. So we had our final lunch together and thats when she confessed her love for me. Only in a friends way though! She said i had the ability to grow on people. But does that mean people think im an idiot at first?!ha After saying goodbye, Andy, Arthur and I headed into town to arrange busses for our next destinations but that was only after I managed to rescue Andy´s card from being swallowed by the ATM machine. He owes me big time
for that! Whilst waiting for our bus back to the hostel the heavens opened up and when we finally got the bus back to the hostel, the bus took about thirty seconds to stop leaving us a very muddy and longer than needed sprint back to the hostel. After sprinting accross a muddy road avoiding traffic, jumping over huge puddles, weaving in and out past trees and bushes and then running along the narrow edge manaing to avoid an embarrasing fall into the pool i leaped onto the steps leading up to the reception and slipped straight up into the air falling on my arse, sliding accross the marble like steps and smashing against a log. Luckily there was only about twenty people watching! One bloke gave me a hand getting up and i could tell straight away that my body was not going to enjoy the long 24 hour bus ride i had planned for the next day to Salta. The three of us enjoyed a bottle of wine whilst waiting for the table tennis to become free. Since it was raining everyone from the hostel was indoors, contained in this one huge room. Im talking about maybe 60
to 70 people. So imagine my joy when Arthur and I were battling it out playing table tennis (both taking it very serious to the point we were sweating!) when i knocked the table a wee bit to hard causing half the table to come crashing to the floor! It was the loudest bang i have ever heard! I would like to say i have never been so embarrassed in my life but that would be telling a fib. It was very embarrassing though and i got a telling off by the staff. Come night time we had buffet BBQ where we got talking to some more awesome people and it wasnt to long till we were all drinking by the pool under the stars. Everyone took the piss out of my clothes though. I did look like a tourist in Hawai but that was due to all my other clothes being soaking wet. I soon got changed into my shorts and decided to would be a better idea to sit in the pool sipping on an ice cold beer. Im glad i did as within a minute two girls from Germany approached me in the pool wearing bikinis!ha I
love travelling! I talked to them for hours and by the end they asked me to come visit them in Germany for the Beer Festival. But only if i stayed single!ha

I had my last breakfast with Andy before catching my 24 hour bus to Salta at 11am. He had been a great travelling companion and friend so saying goodbye was tough. Im sure we will meet again as he only lives 30 minutes away from me back home. Whilst waiting for my bus in the terminal i got talking to a couple from Melbourne. They were expressing their concerns for friends and family back home due to the horrifc fires back home. I couldnt even imagine how they must have felt. I managed to watch three films on the bus but not being able to hear a single word. The driver thought he was a DJ at a cheesey disco and blasted out music from his cabin the whole journey!ha The scenery to Salta reminded me of the tropics in Asia. It was awesome and i didnt want to sleep!
