NOW, with MORE PHOTOS!!!

We had a few days to wait for our bus north, so we decided to head out into the small 'End of the World' National Park. We covered almost all of the trails in our 2 short days. They were nice along the coast and some small lakes and bogs. There are several similarities to Alaska and it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Ushuaia for 2 days.

The backpacking consisted of a few trails and road side hiking, the park was quite busy and even had a pretty pathetic narrow guage railroad train that ran a few miles. Many cruise ships call on Ushuaia and they use the train as a 'unique' way to get some visitors to the park, except it is really starts and goes nowhere. But why not, it is of historical significance to the areas beginnings and mining.

The hiking was nice and it was nice to be along the coast as there is always lots to see. The one main thing that parks here need are some out houses. They have designated campgrounds near freshwater and no outhouses for kilometers. Needless to

say we are packing drinking water as we do not need to go down the contaminated water road again.
