As usual the day begun rushing to breakfast before 10 o’clock so that we could receive our cold toast and croissant, which seems to be the way they do it here. Lately our organization seems to be slipping, so we didn’t make it to Parque Nacional de los Glaciers until around midday to 1 o’clock. We initially thought that you couldn’t watch at a glacier for the whole day, even if it is supposed to advance around 2 m every 24 hours, but after having seen a chunk the size of a house carve off as we arrived, there was no tearing us away. Everybody there seemed to be in silence just watching and waiting for the next part to crack off. We ended up staying for more than 4 hours, but the single croissant just was not enough to keep us going any longer, so we made our way back to the hostel where we indulged in a delightful pasta dish once again.
