Snow Journey--Aconcagua Don't know when I'll make it to Everest, but here I am at the highest mountain outside the Himalayas! Mighty Aconcagua, at 6962 meters/22,841 feet, and her sister mountains and volcanoes soar at the apex of the 7000 kilometers of the Andes Cordillera. From the trail, they seem so accessible, yet they've filled the Climbers' Cemetery below with an internatio... Read Full Entry

We are sitting in a pub in the Faroe Islands
We are sipping a beer and waiting for our ferry in two hours to the island of Nolsoy. I have enjoyed reading your blog. Your mountain looks fantastic and we hope to add it to our must do list. ...doubt that will be soon. Love your slow approach. Keep those blogs coming.

Lucky us!
Sipping a beer and waiting for a ferry--how perfect! Travelblog is so great--I get to join you on your misty islands, and you get to hike on the snowy mountains. Even though you're in the north and I'm in the south, I have the feeling we'll meet up someday and sip a beer as we wait for our ferry...

Puente del Inca--natural stone bridge and a former spa

What an amazing shot. I have an affinity for abandoned buildings, so this photo really speaks to me. They are all very good, especially the colors of the rocks; however, this one makes me want to poke my head through the windows and imagine what it was like. Great shot, great blog.

Tempting Ruins
Thanks, Brendon. I totally agree with you about abandoned buildings and ruins (Pompeii was incredible!). It was so tempting to try to make it across the river and into the spa, but the ice was so slick that it kept me an honest woman.

BEAUTIFUL
Your blogs convey such a carefree wander through Patagonia that I think of you like a feather floating in gentle breeze...but having experienced the winds in Patagonia...I'm still pondering an appropriate analogy...maybe your name says it best...so it is simply..."being Tara Cloud".

Clouds
Thanks, Dave, you are such a poet! And yes, I've always felt like a cloud--most of the time floating gently but occasionally blowing wild like the Patagonian gales.
