we are both a bit tired in this pic - Sean is recovering from a cold and we just moved into the flat busy weekend after this we headed to the antique market of San Telmo.
Hi everyone hope all is well in your part of the world.

Well we are the big city of buenos aires knows in abbreviated form as BsAs, actually the Capital Federal, the city is layed out into a lot of varied neighborhoods Palermo, San Telmo, Congresso, Retiro and Palermo on and on the list goes til you're out of city.

All city dwellers seem to have pocket books of the citys lay-out and add matrix bus schedule, the underground tube, metro, subway is called the Subte which is easy to use but can be a pain because they all intersect downtown then branch out towards their respective ends of the city - if that fails a Super cheap taxi is always easy to hail to get to your destination.

Sean and I have been here nearly two months now eh-um, as you may have guessed by now I'm a bit behind on my entries so look out for them in week following...

One more month before moving on to our next stop. I have been helping at South American Explorers which is a non-profit while Sean has been working for profit on a few free-lance projects -

we arrived at the right time to catch the show - the childrens show that is - Think Sean and I were the only adults in attedance without the company of a child. Good times! the ticket girl even asked for a third ticket , doh!
very busy as always.

Spring has arrived (Sunny, Rainy, overcast, SUNNY) and we hope to visit more of the sites outside the city soon but in the mean time look forward to wandering the streets and nieghborhood markets of BsAs.

So far we've managed taking in a few movies, some shopping, lots of dinning out (found a few really good places local to where we are staying) and plan to make it to the Opera before the theatre shuts for renovations in Novemer the time is ticking away so quickly.

the traffic is stopped and the road lifts about half a foot and begins its slow rotation that allows small motor boats and lots of gorgeous sailing boats through to the bay.

So lucky!!
Hi Esther Gosh, I envy you guys, you are in my favourite city in the whole world! I lived there for two years, between 2000 and 2002, and have been offered a job to move back there, so am thinking about it! Have you eaten at Des Nivel in San Telmo, or been to the Bosques de Palermo? Been on a boat in Tigre? I bet the weather is not so great, but it starts picking up now, and it's wonderful in barbeque season. My favourite is going to the outdoor pools that open in November/December all over the city, the best is up by the ciclodome in Palermo....how long are you guys staying there? The summer is fantastic! I've been enjoying your emails...makes me want to travel all over again. I am not at the moment, as I just bought a flat in London and I am organising that first of all. I plan to rent it out at some point later and maybe move out of London, but it's a good investment. I am teaching English, having found (again!) the 9-5 employer/employee lifestyle not working for me...Not married or with kids yet, but there's always hope!! ;-) Do keep these mails coming. Let me know when you are back in the UK, though wouldn't blame you if you never left BA. Have some good friends still there, so just contact if you'd like some details or any info. juliegilders@yahoo.com x
