Day 2 - Buenos Aires

Enfin arrivées à Buenos Aires!!! Apres environ 22 heures à cause du retard de mon vol New-York - Buenos Aires

La femme qui nous accueille est bien gentille et nous a servi un repas spécial pour notre arrivée. On a lui avait aussi apporté une bouteille de sirop d'erable mais on a eu beaucoup de difficulté à expliquer à une Argentine qu'est-ce c'est en espagnol!

We then went out with our two new roommates (one from Switzerland and the other one from Italy). They don't speak any English (but we're assuming they were pretending so) so I acted as Elena's translator during most of the night.

Arrival was very much anticipated, so as I went trough the passport control I was pleasantly surprised that they dont really care if you have arrived. Stef and I were so lucky coz we found each other really fast (my heart was beating really fast just in anticipation of something bad). We took the bus to microcentro. It took us 45 minutes. It was nice to see many families who parked their cars under the trees and just chilled with kids in the parks or green areas. From the bus station it only took us 15 minutes to get to the family house, but we already were shocked by the width of the BsAs streets (sometimes up to 15 lanes) and lack of pedestrian crossings. At the door of our house we found a number of buzzers to various apartments, but had no idea which one we should press. So after a few random pokes we decided to use my cell and just call. The woman greeted us with a big smile, ran us through the apartment rooms and rules. That night we met with our housemates: David and Elia. We went out with the two swiss guys for a beer, but were the only ones drinking.
