So where was I? Oh yes, back in Buenos Aires, we got us a lovely apartment in a funky district as we are, of course, funky people. It´s also fantastic to be able to make yourself a cup of tea! Having escaped the busy and not so pleasant city centre, we have definitely both enjoyed Buenos Aires and the bars, cafes and restaurants are top banana.
The last two weeks have been largely spent learning spanish with our lovely and patient teacher Mily. We now have confidence (possibly falsely) that we can get by well enough without getting too lost.
Last weekend we were invited by Joe to spend a couple of days and nights near Tigre to the north of BA, in an area best described as the Argentinian Norfolk Broads. Obviously we went and with Joe, Bryany, Rich and Mariuxi we had a weekend filled of booze, food and stoopid card games. The photos will show our time there including our shack on legs, the wobbliest bridge known to man and Mariuxi making Joe her biatch. Of course it rained almost constantly, but we are becoming used to that and it makes us think of home!
We'd best run now as we have to go buy tickets for the next leg of our journey on Monday. We are getting a 22 hour bus to Bariloche in the southern mountains. Goodbye apartment, hello proper travels!
