Maya and Steve in the kitchen
nothing like a bite to eat after a long plane flight (about 11 hrs from Dallas). Greetings From Day 2
We arrived at the airport at 9 in the am on Thursday, after a 10.5 hr flight from Dallas. While we slept on the flight, we were still tired when we arrived... nothing beats an airplane seat for comfort, no? Steve's friend Sergio picked us up, and we had our first opportunity to practice our spanish... which was more successful than perhaps we had expected. Which is nice, since we've actually been trying to practice our spanish on each other.
And after a 45min trip from the airport we arrived to an Hola, Que tal! (I have no idea how to add accents to these words, so forgive me!), and great big hugs.
We had finally arrived at Steve and Linda's house. It is called Casa Rosita (the little pink house) and it is a very cute house. La casa es muy linda. (the house is very beautiful). Steve has spent a lot of time redoing the kitchen, the bathrooms, and the two upstairs rooms, to make them more friendly and spacious. I guess that before they were small and funky. We will attach some pix of what it lloks like now, later. I am
Steve´s Patio
the roof top patio is a nice place to catch a couple hours in the hamack... and about 20 bug bites!! very impressed by the beautiful work that he and Linda have done to this place. it has a lot of charm, and is very comfortable. Maya and I feel right at home.
It's been another long day today, so we will post more later, when Maya is available to weigh in.
