Buenos Aires

Second day in Buenos Aires and I already have a sun burn (it´s not that bad, not even very painful, just a little bit red). I cannot say I am delighted by Argentinian capital. The central part is ugly, dirty and neglected. However Plaza de Mayo is very interesting with Casa de Gobierno, which thanks to its pink colour is also called Casa Rosada. In 19th centry this colour was quite common in the countryised and originally was obtained by mixing white paint with ox´s blood. Casa Rosada is the place from which Evita, Juan Peron as well as Maradona were speaking to crowds.

Yesterday evening I visited San Telmo which so far I like the most. It´s really tiny but lovely district, with small cobbelled streets, little cafes and restaurants. In the central part there is a squer, which is real a beauty spot and is pretty noisy till late night. There are street musicians, street tango dancers, young people from other parts of latin america selling necklaces. Atmosher is great and it´s very easy to make some friends there.
Today I visited La Boca, a district considered as poor and dangerous. However Caminito, the most charming street of La Boca, with fantastically colourful buildings, music and little souvenir shops is rather turistic and crowded. But it is enough to walk few streets to the west to be in truly poor part of Boca, full of ruined buildings, dirtly children and homeless dogs-shocking contrast. One nice older lady agreed to have her photo taken but advised me to hide my camera back to my bag. Still this place had some specific charm and it was totally worth to visit.

But what I love the most in Buenos Aires, are th people. They are very friendly, curious of turists, talkative and helpful.
