Las Pampas

Yesterday after class I took the bus to San Antonio de Areco, a pueblo at the edge of the pampas. I had been told I had to see it, but more than two or three hours would be . They were right. I took the bus and arrived there late afternoon. I wandered town for maybe half an hour (very little open space and a lot of adobe), and then looked for a place to have dinner, which was not an easy task. At any rate, of the three hours I had there, I wound up spending one of them at the bus station playing sudoku. But at least now I can say I´ve been to the Pampas. I also have to say that what I saw out the bus window as we were driving looked a wee bit too much like I-94 to warrant any pictures.

But hey, I´ve seen it. And there was a really pretty park. And I´ve now ridden one of their luxury long distance double decker buses.
