Our Last Day Trip from Avignon - Nimes and A Couple of its Roman Monuments - Aug 9, 2017 August 9th 2017 Our last day trip from our base in Avignon was to the nearby town of Nimes. We had learned that there were a few monuments of importance here remaining from Roman times. With Avignon being a wonderful hub for public transportation we were able to catch a train out for a day of exploring Nimes. We still have much to learn about the Roman influence in this part of the country of present day France.

Like so many others we love to travel and we love to sail so cruising makes a lot of sense. Janice has retired from Cornell as a business manager and Bob has retired from South Seneca school district as the high school principal. It's time to sell the house, get rid of whatever doesn't fit on our 40 foot Caliber LRC named Tsamaya (this means Travel Well in Setswana) and set off to see the world.
