We had lots of time to explore Latvia today but it was raining all day so we toured, took a nap, and then walked around the neighborhood and bought a few items tonight. It’s 7pm and we are in our room for the night ~ that’s a first! It's only there until the end of October. ‘Sam’ is a sculpture from the series ‘First Crew’ by Denis Prasolov. The sculpture is dedicated to the many animals used by the Soviet Union in space exploration during the 1950s-1960s, including the 42 animal piloted rockets launched by the Soviet Union during this time. Needless to say, most did not survive the experience.
